By the end of this workshop you will have produced a professionally finished 30 cm diameter Drum Lampshade. The workshop will involve applying a fire retardant backing to your fabric of choice after which you will cut, prepare and apply the shade to a lamp frame . You may even have time to finish with braiding should you wish to so please bring some with you.

A step by step sheet will be included for future reference.

16th June 2019 (Sunday)


10.00am till 1.00pm. (3 Hours)
Please ensure you arrive at least 20 minutes prior to the commencement of your course. This will allow you time to familiarise yourself with the school, meet the tutor and fellow participants, as well as enjoy a coffee, tea or other light refreshments.


All levels of experience. Beginners welcome. If you have any specific access or support requirements please give us a call at the time of booking to discuss your needs.


We would advise that this course is suitable for those of 16 years of age and upwards. We put these guidelines in place for the safety, comfort and enjoyment of all our students.

Maximum class size:

10 Students

What to bring: 

Please wear suitable clothing. All you are required to bring is a 1/2 metre of fabric. Avoid fabrics that are too thick as this may be more difficult when finishing the edges. A cotton/ linen fabric would be perfect for this project. 30cm of braiding if you wish to apply to one edge or 60cm if you want to apply to the top and bottom. The lampshade kit is included is the price of the course and all tools and equipment are provided.

Extra kits can be purchased on the day if you get the bug and want to carry on.

Payment Options 

A non returnable Full payment of £65 (inclusive of vat) per person, per course should accompany all bookings.
Failure to attend a course will incur cancellation charges (see our terms and conditions for further information).

Additional Info 

Once you have booked on a course, an email confirmation will be sent. You will not receive anything in the post. If you find you have not received the confirmation, and you have checked your junk/spam folder, please contact us and we will be happy to resend it to you. If there are not enough students to run the course, the course will be cancelled and all monies returned.
